Creating an Access object grants guests permission to pick up and drop off your keys using the Keycafe system. You can configure this access to be either scheduled (within a specific time window) or ongoing for more flexible, long-term access.
Each Access object includes:
- A booking code: Enables guests to interact with a SmartBox using a numeric code.
- A check-in link: Allows guests to pick up or drop off keys with a single tap from their mobile device.
- Access start and end dates/times: Used to define scheduled access windows.
- Guest information and the key being shared.
- Notification preferences for guest communications.
The API allows you to:
- Retrieve access records (individually or as a list)
- Create new accesses
- Update or cancel existing accesses
- Resend access instructions to guests if needed
This functionality makes it easy to securely and flexibly manage who can access your keys and when.
